The Rev. Dr. Mi Hyeon Lee was appointed as District Superintendent in 2018, and she served the Mid-State District the last four years. Rev. Dr. Lee also served simultaneously as the District Superintendent for Mark Twain District from July 2021 to June 2022. Previously she served local churches under appointments of various sizes for over 20 years. Mi Hyeon has an M.Th. from Methodist Theological Seminary in Seoul, Korea; an M. Div from St. Paul School of Theology and a D.Min from Garrett-Evangelical Seminary. Her doctoral focus was on leadership. Her responsibilities are to inspire and support the ministry of clergy and lay leaders to revitalize the churches in the mission of the church. Mi Hyeon has a son who lives in Boston, and a dog as good company. Her hobbies are gardening, biking and taking road trips.
